ANIMAL: Peacock

I live in a neighborhood with very many peafowl (including peacocks, peahen and peachicks) and have learned a thing or two living amongst these feathery friends. 

• Peacocks love their own reflections! Sometimes they will peck at bumpers or shiny surfaces thinking they are seeing other peacocks too.

• Their babies are really cute. Peachicks love to play games! They like to chase each other around and run in circles.

• They eat a lot of things, especially berries and even snakes and reptiles too, but it’s better not to feed them, and let them find their own food.

• Peacocks can fly! But they prefer to walk. When they do fly, it’s not far and usually to escape predators.
