ANIMAL: Cats!

House cats are domesticated meaning that they are cared for by humans. Scientists thought  they were first domesticated thousands of years ago by Egyptians in ancient Egypt but recent discoveries indicate that they were domesticated in the Fertile Crescent about 10,000 to 12,000 years ago.

I have two cats and their names are Luna and Nico. Sometimes they are crazy and sometimes they are calm. They run all around the house being loud and scratching things.I don’t mind if they are crazy though. Some cats are just like that and that is a-okay with me. I’ll always love them no matter what. They are family. What I love about them is that they are so cute and keep me company. They both love to snuggle and cuddle. They are also very sweet. Luna is a black and white tuxedo cat and Nico is a gray american shorthair. He is a pretty fat cat while Luna is so skinny. They love looking out the window all day and meowing at things my mom and I don’t see. Nico goes crazy all night meowing all night while Luna is sleeping all night and cuddling up with my momma. They are both so sweet and I am lucky to have them both.

A fun fact about cats is that they can jump up to six times their height. Isn’t that crazy?! Another fun fact is that they have a total of 18 toes. I think that is too many! What really caught my eye while researching about this topic is that they sleep for about 13-16 hours a day which is about 70% of their life. Isn’t that sad? They don’t get to play that much. Well… except for my cat Nico. He is a bundle of joy, happiness, and energy. LLLLLOOOOOOOOTTTTTTSSSSS of energy.
