THING: Mulberries

Meet the Pakistani Mulberry! A very strange looking fruit indeed - 1-5 inches in length, dark red/purple with a stem that runs the entire length of the fruit. They have a caterpillar like quality but don’t worry they have their own distinct berry flavor and when they are plump and dark red they are sweet with a slight tanginess.

We were lucky to get some fresh mulberries from our friends who feed the leaves to their silkworms. We hope you get a chance to try these special fruits!
